Unlocked: Works on most carriers worldwide. You can insert any physical SIM card or set up an eSIM and switch networks easily.
Locked: The phone is tied to a specific carrier (like AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon). It will only work with that carrier’s SIM card or eSIM until it is unlocked.

9. Do your phones use SIM cards or eSIM?
